The Outsourcing Business Promotion Council of India (OBPC India) is an independent body whose objective is ensuring effective business and technology outsourcing by:

	Communicating the significant benefits and strategic lessons to a wider audience through Conferences, Seminars and exhibitions.
	Promoting best practices, service and innovation in the application development outsourcing.
	Lobbying with the Govt. bodies, Industry associations, Councils on matters affecting the collective interests of the members.
	Delivering information on market development in business / technology outsourcing to its members (benchmarking, market research, tariff reviews etc)
	Communicating the benefits and lessons learnt of business / technology outsourcing encompassing IT infrastructure, e-business and application service provision (ASP)
	OBPC has been establishing links through the industry and it aims to be the voice and forum for the business & Technology outsourcing community. Outsourcing Back Office functions are growing at 20-30% annually and are expected to be the next growth drivers after Y2K and E-Commerce.
